Our mission:
The Society of Armenian Minimally Invasive Surgeons was established at its founding assembly on February 20, 2024, and is registered in the Republic of Armenia as a non-governmental organization. SAMIS operates throughout Armenia and abroad, uniting surgeons and allied specialists committed to the development of minimally invasive surgery.
To promote the development, adoption, and highest standards of minimally invasive surgery in Armenia — improving the effectiveness, safety, and accessibility of surgical care through education, collaboration, and research.
Our goals:

Unite minimally invasive surgeons of Armenia and the diaspora, as well as allied specialists in related fields.
Collaborate with local and international professional organizations, organize exchange of experience, invite experts from abroad, and support training of Armenian specialists internationally.
Organize scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and round tables.
Participate in the development and refinement of clinical guidelines and standards of surgical care in Armenia, in cooperation with other specialized medical associations.
Review international literature and best practices, and use them in the training and continuing education of surgeons.
Support and participate in clinical research in Armenia - its planning, conduct, oversight, and publication.
Publish professional and educational materials for surgeons and physicians.

Participate in national and international grant programs.
Encourage the involvement and active participation of young surgeons.
Our Team
The supreme body of SAMIS is the General Assembly of members.
Between assemblies, the organisation is governed by the Board.
The President, who chairs the Board, is elected by the General Assembly for a two-year term.
